Two footbridges have been put in place over the A9 at Gleneagles as preparations continue for the Ryder Cup.
Around 30 staff were on site at the weekend, including a health and safety co-ordinator from Ryder Cup Europe, as a crane with a 90-tonne capacity helped install the bridge decks each one weighing 13.5 tonnes.
The A9 was closed from 7pm to 6.30am on Saturday/Sunday morning, with local diversions set up through Gleneagles and Auchterarder.
The footbridges are being installed over the A9 to enable the thousands of spectators arriving at Gleneagles Rail Station to reach the golf course.
Some local residents and politicians have called for the bridges to be turned into permanent fixtures to serve the community but it has been confirmed that they will be temporary.
The Ryder Cup takes place from September 23-28.
The footbridges will be removed in overnight operations in October 4 and 11.
