Serious injuries avoided in A9 crash near Bankfoot

The occupants of two vehicles involved in a collision on the A9 Perth to Inverness road on Tuesday escaped serious injury.
Emergency staff attended the incident at approximately 12.40pm near Bankfoot, on the southbound carriageway, when a green Fiat car collided with a Mercedes Sprinter van.
A spokeswoman said: ”Tayside Police attended a report of a road traffic collision between a car and a van at 12.40pm on the A9, near Bankfoot, on the southbound carriageway.
”The road was not blocked as a result of the incident.”
It’s understood the Fiat car was damaged.
A spokesman for Tayside Fire and Rescue said the occupants of the car and van had been removed from the vehicles before they arrived.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said they attended the scene but no one was taken to hospital.
