Councillors Jack Coburn and John Kellas stepped behind the shop counter to celebrate Perth’s independent retailers.
“Independents’ Day” is a campaign organised by the National Skills Academy for Retail that champions the local retailers who make the UK’s towns and cities special.
As part of the third campaign, Perth retailers took things further by turning the day into a week-long event. Small businesses are holding a series of competitions and promotions designed to raise their profile.
The councillors spoke to shoppers and staff at Blues and Browns, Provender Brown, Banks, PC Solutions and Scottish Seasons.
