Yorkshire man Neil Coates named as victim of motorbike accident near Blairgowrie

A motorcyclist who died in a crash near Blairgowrie on Saturday has today been named by police.
Neil Coates, who was 49 and from Bedale in North Yorkshire, died after his red Kawasaki collided with a car on the A93 between Blairgowrie and Bridge of Cally.
The accident happened at about 4pm near Easter Mause Farm, around two miles north of Rattray.
Police say the accident investigation continues and they have asked any witnesses to contact Tayside Division on 101.
As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
