New Marks & Spencer store for Perth

New Marks & Spencer store for Perth

A new branch of Marks & Spencer will open in Perth on September 18.

The Simply Food store at the Inveralmond retail park will bring more than 70 new jobs to the area.

The store unit had previously lain unused for five years, after being vacated by the Caithness Glass factory and gift shop.

The 8,800 sq ft store will offer customers more than 4,500 food and drink lines. There will also be a selection of plants and flowers, as well as greetings cards and gift wrap.

The venture will also include a 40-seat caf, where customers will be able enjoy Fairtrade tea and coffee, as well as pastries and cakes.

A new in-store bakery will offer a range of speciality breads, pastries and cakes, freshly produced each day.

In addition, the store will offer the popular Shop Your Way service, giving customers the choice of ordering from the chain’s catalogue in-store or online, with free next day in-store delivery and collection.

There will be parking available for 220 cars.

Store manager, Derek Durno, said: “We are delighted to be opening a Simply Food store in Perth, which will provide local customers with a great new shopping experience.

“Shoppers will be able to select their favourite M&S products from the food hall and bakery and relax in the new M&S caf.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming customers through our doors on September 18,” added Mr Durno.
