The A9 Perth to Inverness road was closed for more than an hour following a collision between two lorries.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured as a result of the incident, which took place at 12.52pm near the House of Bruar, Blair Atholl.
The two lorries one a cement vehicle and the other carrying timber collided on the northbound stretch of the busy road, resulting in both lanes being closed and diversions were put in place.
And a spokesperson for BEAR Scotland confirmed that traffic was diverted, with the road re-opening around 2.10pm.
“We assisted Police Scotland in implementing a local diversion route for the A9 between House of Bruar and Calvine due to an earlier road traffic collision,” she said.
“The incident has since been cleared with all diversions lifted and both lanes of the A9 reopened.”
