Perth debate hears multi-racial views on independence
ByRichard Burdge
People from ethnic minority backgrounds had the opportunity to learn more about the Scottish independence referendum at an event in Perth on Tuesday evening.
Organised by the MEAD (Minority Ethnic Access Development) Project from charity PKAVS, among those taking part in the event at the AK Bell Library were representatives from both the Yes campaign (Councillor Dave Doogan) and the Better Together campaign (Councillor Mac Roberts).
Also present was Saaima Khalid, a solicitor from the Ethnic Minorities Law Centre in Glasgow.
The evening was chaired by Steve Bargeton, deputy editor of The Courier.
