ByThe Courier Reporter
Eve Muirhead had a private homecoming in Perthshire after winning bronze in the Sochi Winter Olympics.
The Team GB women’s skip was welcomed by locals and presented with flowers in a low-key ceremony in Blair Atholl.
Earlier this week she delighted children when she made a surprise visit to the ice rink in Perth.
Muirhead arrived at the Dewars Centre to watch her brother, Glen, play in the Super League.
She was accompanied on her impromptu trip by the women’s team coach, Dave Hay.
The success of Muirhead’s team who won a thrilling play-off against the Swiss team 6-5 to take bronze in Russia and David Murdoch’s men’s squad has seen a surge of interest in the sport.
