Missing Pitlochry pensioner: police resume River Tummel searches By Richard Burdge March 12 2014, 12:52pm March 12 2014, 12:52pm Share Missing Pitlochry pensioner: police resume River Tummel searches Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/perth-kinross/146492/missing-pitlochry-pensioner-police-resume-river-tummel-searches/ Copy Link A river search resumed in Highland Perthshire today in an effort to solve the mysterious disappearance of a pensioner. William Elder, 81, was last seen on December 10 and police fear he may have fallen in a river and been swept away. They said that given his age and the time elapsed since he was last seen, it was a real possibility that he had fallen into the Tummel. The search had been delayed due to high river levels but resumed today with Police Scotland’s marine support team out on the river in kayaks.
