A Crieff teenager who punched two women after a night out in the town will appear for sentence at Perth Sheriff Court on June 25.
The court heard that Rowan Mayes, 18, of Commissioner Street, appeared to be drunk in the Meadow Inn, Crieff, at 10.30pm and that a woman was followed by her at around 12.15am.
“When this woman hailed a taxi, the accused ran towards her and punched her in the face,” depute fiscal Carol Whyte said.
“This knocked her to the ground and the accused then kicked her in the face.”
The court heard that the woman suffered bruising and swelling around her right eye and had a small cut on her nose and eyelid, but declined medical attention.
Ms Whyte said that Mayes also was seen punching another woman.
Solicitor Alison McKay, defending, said there had been “tensions” between Mayes and her friend and the two women involved.
Mayes admitted punching the two women on Burrell Street, Crieff, on March 24 last year.
Sentence was deferred for background reports.
