A vintage fire engine is expected to fetch up to £3,000 when it goes under the hammer later this month.
The 1962 Bedford TK fire tender will be sold on March 29 at Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions in Errol.
The vehicle was number 774 of the 6,500 produced by the HCB-Angus factory in Totton and has 28,000 miles on the clock.
It was initially registered in Oxford in December 1962 before eventually making it into the hands of a private owner in Fife, who more recently used it to pump away flood water.
It features working sirens and its original pump, as well as hose reels and water tanks. Experts have placed a value of between £2,000 and £3,000 on the vehicle.
Keith Murray, auction manager at Morris Leslie, said he expected to attract a range of interested bidders and many will have an inventive use for the engine.
He said: “We sold a modern fire engine last time to an adult entertainment company in Edinburgh. You’ll also have investors, collectors, or it could be put into use as nightclub transportation.”
