An art student has completed her pilgrimage down the River Tay.
Lise Olsen has spent more than two months walking from Loch Tay down the river in stages, documenting her experience using photographs, moving images, sound and a diary.
She took on much of the journey alone but was joined by fellow Duncan of Jordanstone students for the last leg from the art college to Broughty Ferry Castle.
“It was wet,” Lise said.
“Twelve of us turned up and I think a lot of people got put off by the rain. It was worth it, though. It was a good laugh and it was good to have some company.
“I feel that what I have learned is walking the river reminded me that it is the journey in life that is important and not the destination.”
Lise and the group recorded some sound along their journey, which will feed into the exhibition she will run next February for her degree.
Through the exhibition she hopes to raise money for Scone Remembers, a community-led initiative to provide a series of walks in Scone Woods incorporating information about the men on the town’s war memorial.
