St Johnstone fans given special train for Scottish Cup final day
BySandra Gray
ScotRail has revealed it will give St Johnstone supporters exclusive use of a train to get them to the historic Scottish Cup final.
A special service will leave Perth at 9.37am on May 17, arriving at Glasgow Queen Street just before midday.
Additional trains will also be laid on if there is sufficient demand.
Due to Network Rail engineering works near Stirling, journey times will be longer than usual but fans have been assured they will arrive in Glasgow in time to transfer onto services at Bellgrove.
The return train will leave after 6pm, although a later service will be available if the game between Dundee United goes into extra time.
Rail tickets cost £15 for an adult return, or £20 for a family ticket for one adult and one child.
Tickets will be on sale on May 1 and 2 between 9.30am and 4pm from the McDiarmid Park ticket office and are only available to those with proof of a match ticket.
