Lunchtime suparmarket ban for man accused of sex attack

A 55-year-old man has been banned from making early afternoon visits to Asda in case he meets schoolgirls during their lunch hour.
James Kinmond was barred from visiting the Perth branch of the store between 12.30pm and 2pm every day as a condition of bail.
Chris Macintosh, depute fiscal, told Perth Sheriff Court that the Crown sought the condition prohibiting Kinmond from going to the store “during school lunch hours.”
Kinmond, Gowans Terrace, appeared from custody on Wednesday and denied sexually assaulting a 15-year-old schoolgirl near his home in Perth on Tuesday.
He denied engaging the girl in conversation on the pretext of needing help with his mobile phone before making comments about and fondling her bottom.
Kinmond also denied breaching the peace in the Asda car park the same day by approaching a 13-year-old and a 12-year-old schoolgirl and again engaging them in conversation about his phone.
It is alleged that he presented the phone as if taking a photo of them and then followed them as they walked away, forcing them to run and placing them in a state of fear and alarm.
Kinmond is scheduled to go on trial in September.
