Golfing legend Colin Montgomerie has unveiled a tasty tipple created especially for this year’s Ryder Cup competition.
Just 2,350 numbered bottles of the limited edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label will be released to mark the tournament, which will be held in Perthshire.
The label also features an image of the Gleneagles Hotel, which will be the base for the tournament in September.
Montgomerie, who captained the winning 2010 Ryder Cup team at Celtic Manor in Wales, welcomed the event’s return to Scotland for the first time in 41 years.
He said: “It is terrific to see the Ryder Cup coming back to Scotland and the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles is a wonderful stage on which to play the world’s greatest team golf event.
“Whisky and golf are two of Scotland’s greatest gifts to the world and what better way to celebrate them than with such a beautiful and unique Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ryder Cup Limited Edition.”
