Specialist firefighters are battling a large forest fire in rural Stirling-shire.
Forestry workers reported the blaze at around 7am after heavy machinery and a significant amount of timber caught alight.
Crews from across the region swiftly made their way to the scene, between Crianlarich and Killin.
They discovered that around half an acre of land was also alight and were soon joined by Scottish Fire and Rescue’s wildfire forest unit.
No-one is believed to have been injured, but crews are expected to remain on scene for some hours until the fire is contained and extinguished.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “Around 25 firefighters are currently dealing with a fire involving forestry machinery and a large quantity of compacted timber.
“Appliances from Arrochar, Bridge of Orchy, Killin, Callander and Tynedrum have been mobilised to the incident.”
A specialist unit from Dunblane has also been called in to tackle the blaze.
