A travelling “Yestival” will reach Perth next week as part of a cultural tour in advance of September’s independence referendum.
The tour of culture and politics has been organised by National Collective, the cultural campaign for a Yes vote, as part of a summer of independence and involves some of Scotland’s writers, musicians and artists.
The Yestival will arrive at the Twa Tams on Thursday July 31 at 8pm.
The Perth event will feature singer/songwriter Lou Hickey and fiddler Robbie Greig.
Doors open at 7.45pm and the event is free to attend.
The Yestival tour has been funded by donations, with more than £30,000 being given by supporters through crowdfunding online.
The tour has been endorsed by artists including Julie Fowlis, who featured in the Pixar film Brave.
Andrew Barr, a National Collective member who will be going on the tour, said: “We’re living history right now.
“There’s a real buzz around Scotland and that’s only going to build as we get closer to September.”
