Woman injured in machinery accident at Townhead Farm

A woman was rushed to hospital following an industrial accident at a Perthshire farm on Tuesday.

The emergency services were summoned after the woman in her 30s got her foot caught in a conveyor chain at Townhead Farm, Greenloaning.

She was freed and taken by paramedics for treatment to Forth Valley Hospital at Stirling.

Her condition was unknown last night and no further details were released.

A fire crew and heavy rescue unit were also dispatched to the accident, which took place at 10am, but they were not eventually required.
