School bus driver caught drink-driving is reported missing

A manhunt is under way after a disgraced bus driver went missing from his home days after admitting taking pupils to school while drunk.

Tayside Police today launched an appeal for help in tracing Kenneth Carey, who has been missing from his Highland Perthshire home since Thursday.

The 56-year-old coach company director from Grandtully admitted driving a bus full of pupils to Breadalbane Academy in Aberfeldy and was due to be sentenced at Perth Sheriff Court next month.

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door inquiries in a bid to locate him.
