A former soldier who served in Afghanistan has admitted punching a man outside a city nightclub.
Fraser Anderson (26), c/o Chichester Park Central, Ballymena, Northern Ireland, admitted that on July 20 last year in Scott Street, he assaulted a man by punching and kicking him, to his injury.
Perth Sheriff Court heard that the victim became involved in an altercation with Anderson, who was in the process of being discharged from the army.
The court heard the man did not require medical treatment.
Solicitor Jamie Baxter, defending, said it was thought Anderson may be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Anderson was placed on a community payback order, with 150 hours of unpaid work to be done within six months.
