A £1.35 million pub venture in Blairgowrie opened its doors to the public.
Around 40 jobs have been created by the opening of the JD Wetherspoon premises on the site of the former Woolworth building in Allan Street.
Called the Fair O’Blair reflecting the historic tradition of staging fairs and markets in the town the pub specialises in serving real ales.
In keeping with the heritage theme of the pub, photographs and local history relating to the area will be displayed. In addition, locally-produced artwork has been commissioned for the new development.
