A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while out walking her dogs, police have said.
The teenager was attacked in the village of Stanley, near Perth, between 10.15pm and 11pm on Sunday.
She was walking two dogs along a tree-lined path near the road to Stanley Mills and stopped near the Fisherman’s Bothy by the River Tay before turning back. The girl was then approached by a man who sexually assaulted her before walking off.
She was said to be extremely distressed by the incident but did not need medical attention. Police in Tayside have appealed for sightings of the girl or the man in the area on Sunday night.
The suspect is about 6ft and was wearing a light blue hoodie at the time. He spoke in a foreign language that was possibly Eastern European, investigators say.
Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
