Police investigate “suspicious” death in Perthshire

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man at a house in the Balbeggie area of Perthshire.

Officers say they are treating the 49-year-old man’s death as “suspicious” and have cordoned off properties in the Croft Park area.

It is understood the man’s body was found at around midday by a member of the public, although no further details about the grim discovery have been released.

Police Scotland have said that the man’s next of kin have been made aware and that their enquiries are at an early stage.
