eBay trader fined for attacking parcel delivery man
ByThe Courier Reporter
A professional eBay trader attacked a delivery man on his doorstep, a court has heard.
Kael Shawnasay’s long-simmering feud with courier firm Parcel Force reached boiling point when he threw a box at employee James White, before punching him in the face.
The 40-year-old insisted he was acting in self-defence during the incident on March 12 last year, claiming that Mr White had struck him across the head with his scanner.
Giving evidence at Perth Sheriff Court, Mr White denied he had assaulted Shawnasay.
His claim was supported by another witness who watched the assault unfold from a nearby shop.
Shawnasay, of High Street, Crieff, said he felt he was being threatened when he punched Mr White on the face.
He was found guilty of assault and fined £300.
