A 20-year-old Coupar Angus man has been jailed for six months after admitting headbutting a woman at a Blairgowrie nightclub.
Jonathan Kermath, 20, Davidson Crescent, admitted that on April 5 at The Gig, William Street, Blairgowrie, he assaulted a woman and headbutted her on the face to her injury.
He also pleaded guilty to punching a man on his head to his injury.
He committed both offences while on bail, having been granted bail on March 2.
At Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Sheriff Fiona Tait spoke of Kermath’s lengthy record.
It included six assault to injury convictions.
Sheriff Tait said that this had left her no choice but to jail him.
