A man has been charged after a lorry crashed and careered through the central reservation and onto the wrong side of a busy motorway.
The vehicle was travelling north on the M90 when it collided with a Citroen C5 around one mile past the Bridge of Earn Junction shortly after 10am.
The lorry, which weighs in the region of 40 tonnes, then veered across the road and came to a rest on the hard shoulder of the south bound carriageway.
No one was seriously hurt, with an ambulance taking just one person to hospital with “non life-threatening injuries”.
The crash caused traffic chaos, which vehicles queued past the Friarton Bridge on the south bound side.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:”Police Scotland can confirm that a 63-year-old man has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision on the M90 at Muirmont Interchange, Bridge of Earn, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
