A man has been taken to hospital after two jet-skis crashed on the river Tay.
It is understood one of the machines was moving in the water near Moncrieffe Island and struck the other stationary jet-ski which was underneath the railway bridge.
One rider suffered a broken leg and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee while the other man was uninjured.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 5pm on Sunday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service carried out a water rescue and helped paramedics reach the injured man.
The second rider was was able to get himself out of the water.
Later, one regular jet-skier on the Tay, who did not want to be named, criticised the men for failing to check tide times on the river.
He said: “They were here on Thursday and the regulars user, who abide by a code of conduct agreed with the council, told them to check the harbour website for tide times.
“It was the wrong time. They came out when the water was too low. They are not from Perth and have no experience. I think they’ve hit rocks and it’s put them off course.
“It made rescuing them more difficult as the boat couldn’t get to them. I towed them out.
“We’ve never had a problem in 10 years and it was ludicrous for them to go out.”
