Time is running out to snap up a romantic tower in Perthshire that has been attracting admiration online.

The unique property wasput up for sale on Gumtreefor £28,000 and the owners have put a closing date on it after the advert drew a huge response.

It was orginally built for the 14th Lord Gray of Kinfauns in 1815 as an observatory and romantic feature to enhance the landscape.

The property is needing extensive restoration after years of neglect and decay.

The owner Gavin Alston passed away at the end of last year and his daughter Sally Carracher is now looking to offload the property.

She said: “My father bought it about 20 years ago and the plan was to develop it into a home but his health started to fail and he lost interest in it.

“Nobody has touched it for about 15 years. It’s needing a bit of TLC.

“It would be fantastic if someone could develop it into a home or some sort of holiday home.

“It’s in a beautiful location, it’s got a lovely wooded area around it so it would make a fantastic place for somebody.”

Offers for the property must be submitted by noon on Tuesday June 16.
