The ever-popular hobby of model railways will draw thousands of enthusiasts from all over Britain to Perth this month.
The city is once again hosting one of the UK’s biggest model railway exhibitions at the Dewars Centre on Saturday and Sunday June 27/28.
This year’s event, which is run by Perth and District Model Railway Club, will have more than 100 exhibits.
There will be 40-plus layouts with the remaining exhibits made up of trade stands and specialist railway societies.
The exhibitors will come from as far away as Southampton, while clubs from Stirling, Crail, Glenrothes, Dundee and Cupar will bring their own displays.
Exhibition manager Stan Moug said the Perth exhibition had established itself as one of the top events on the calendar for model railway enthusiasts.
“Our exhibition promises to be the best yet and we are proud that many people regard this event, now in its 24th year, as the best of its kind in Scotland,” he said.
“Our aim is to promote the hobby and inspire our visitors, as well as provide a great family day out at the excellent Dewars Centre.”
The doors open for the exhibition at 10am on both days.
