Police are appealing for information following an incident that saw the elderly pensioner targeted in the Muirton area of the city. A three figure sum of cash was stolen along with personal belongings sometime between Friday June 12 and Tuesday June 16. A spokesperson for Police Scotland urged any witnesses to come forward. They said: “Police Scotland would encourage householders to always think about their personal and home security. “Residents are advised to lock front and back doors, as well as windows even when at home during the day and overnight.” Anyone with information should contact Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any officer.
