The driver of a prison van involved in a crash on the A90 while transporting three people to jail has been charged with careless driving.
Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway, just before the sliproad to Longforgan, around 11am on Thursday following reports of a three-vehicle crash.
The G4S prison van, which was transporting three prisoners from Dundee Sheriff Court to HMP Perth, had a hole ripped in its side and two lorries were damaged.
Three people suffered minor injuries.
Following an investigation by police, a 44-year-old man was given an on-the-spot fine after being cautioned and was charged with careless driving.
