Perth race fans enjoy a day out with all the family

Horse racing was only one of the draws for the crowds who flocked to Perth Racecourse on Sunday.
Now in its ninth year, the Silver Cup Family Day is geared to ensuring all ages enjoy a day out with racing taking equal billing to a programme of off-course entertainment.
For music fans there were performances from The One + Only Direction Tribute Band while inflatable tanks, a bouncy castle, face painting, pony rides and archery kept the youngsters amused.
There was also ferret racing and a return of the falconry display.
Tracey Quin, marketing and sales manager, said: “For us it’s really important to provide families an opportunity to have an affordable day out at Perth Racecourse.”
The sun shone and for those not wanting to miss the climax of Wimbledon the men’s final was shown on a large screen.
The day featured seven races including Britain’s richest jumps prize.
