Bun fight Wife brandished knife at man who brought home cold McDonald’s meal
ByGraham Gibson
A Glencarse woman has admitted threatening her husband with a knife after a row over a cold McDonald’s happy meal.
Jennifer Grieve, 47, tried to punch and kick her husband Gordon before brandishing the blade at him after he delivered the fast food meal.
Giving evidence at Perth Sheriff Court, Mr Grieve revealed his wife had asked him to bring the McDonald’s food back from a trip to Perth with their daughter.
When he returned, she slammed her fist down on the kitchen table and complained it was freezing. Mr Grieve dodged an attempted punch and then was kicked on his shin by his wife.
When she tried to kick him again, Mr Grieve grabbed his wife’s foot and tipped her backwards on to the floor.
A shouting match then erupted between the three family members, before his wife fled the kitchen.
Jennifer Grieve admitted that on April 19 at Javnic, Cottown, Glencarse, she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and brandished a knife at her husband, Gordon Grieve.
Sheriff Paul Reid deferred sentence for six months for Grieve to be of good behaviour.
