Battle of Killiecrankie is brought back to life in re-enactment

The famous Battle of Killiecrankie was re-enacted at the weekend.
The annual event marked the 362nd anniversary of the battle, which took place in 1689.
Cavalry and infantry displays, battlefield tours and a living history camp were part of the weekend’s entertainment, with the Soldiers of Killiecrankie carrying out a re-enactment of the battle.
The battle was regarded as a key point in the first Jacobite Uprising.
Timo and Anna Hayes were among the visitors enjoying the action.
