Fears A9 dualling project could be threat to Enchanted Forest event
ByRichard Burdge
One of Perthshire’s most successful events could be under threat from the dualling of the A9.
The organisers of the Enchanted Forest sound and light show which draws in 55,000 visitors to Pitlochry every year have warned of the possible impact if the chosen route encroaches on Faskally Wood.
They are urging people to get behind other route options which would safeguard the future of the event which injects £2million into the local economy.
“We will be strongly advocating that these factors are fully taken into account when selecting the right route for the town, the area and for the regular users of the A9,” say the organisers.
