Almost £400,000 of public money spent on T in the Park since 2012

Nearly £400,000 of public money has been spent on T in the Park since 2012, The Courier can reveal.
It emerged that organisers DF Concerts had received a £150,000 handout just days before the festival took place at its new home at Strathallan Estate in Perthshire earlier this month.
The award brings the total amount of public money spent on the festival since 2012 to £373,000.
Conservative Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Liz Smith has said she wants to know exactly what the money was used for.
A spokeswoman for T in the Park organisers DF Concerts said the money was necessary because of the “exceptional circumstances” caused by the move from Balado to Strathallan.
