A farm worker who repeatedly groped young women as he collected sheep feed from a farmers’ merchants was yesterday found guilty of a series of sexual assaults.
Over a four-year period Malcolm Michie, 47, made repeated trips to the Stirlingshire merchants, ostensibly to collect feed.
But Stirling Sheriff Court was told he made far more visits than was necessary, often turning up twice a week and taking away a few bags at a time rather than loading up a month’s supply.
But as he was passed sacks of feed, his hands wandered over three different women at the premises.
One of the women said he groped her time and time again between March and September 2012.
Michie, of Farmestoun Cottage, Kilmahog, Perthshire, denied groping any women.
Sheriff William Gilchrist eferred sentence for background reports until September 9 and released Michie on bail.
The incidents took place over a period of nearly four years, between May 2010 and January 2014.
