A former Black Watch soldier from Scone has created a special flag commemorating his comrades lost in conflicts around the world.
Jock McInnes, one of Perthshire’s best-known fundraisers, takes the banner on his charity trips around the globe.
Jock who is from Scone and has raised £1.5 million for good causes has adorned the flag with the names of Courier Country soldiers killed in battle.
He said: “This flag has been going around the world with me to the Sahara and Gobi deserts, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Elbrus in Russia to name but a couple of the expeditions I have had the pleasure to go on.
“From trip to trip, I have been adding the names of former Black Watch comrades who have passed away during that period on to the flag.
“Yes, it’s a bit scruffy, even a wee bit tattered around the edges, but, as we say in the forces, no one gets left behind.”
The flag currently has 45 names on it and even has a dedicated Facebook page that documents its journeys and the people who adorn it.
Jock added: “It was my own idea from one of the first trips I went on, to the Iraq War. Everybody was taking flags and I thought I would, too, and put the names on it. It’s all local guys from Dundee, Fife and Perthshire.”
