A 29-year-old man has admitted abusing two police officers while they spoke to his father over drink-driving in Pitlochry.
Liam Currie, of Beaumont Drive, Woodlands, Doncaster, admitted carrying out the verbal assault on August 22 last year at Grandtully.
Sheriff Michael Fletcher heard that Currie moved to Scotland in August last year to be a carer for his father and to escape a pattern of misbehaviour that stemmed from his use of alcohol.
Currie admitted refusing to move away when two police officers were carrying out a drink-drive procedure, repeatedly interrupting the officers and shouting over them. Sheriff Fletcher deferred sentence until next month for reports.
