Edinburgh man charged with Perthshire housebreakings

A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with a series of housebreakings in the Comrie and Muthill areas of Perthshire.
Lee Ridgway, Edinburgh, appeared in private yesterday facing three charges of theft by housebreaking.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination. Ridgway was remanded in custody.
A Coupar Angus man who admitted assault in a Blairgowire pub has had his sentence deferred for reports.
James Brown, 27, of Sidlaw Crescent, punched the man on the head and stamped on his body, to his injury, on December 28 at the Fair O’Blair in Allan Street.
