A young boy is serious ill in hospital following an accident at a property in Perth.
Emergency services were called to an address in Nimmo Avenue on Tuesday evening, after reports of an injured four-year-old.
The boy is being treated at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We can confirm officers attended at an address in Nimmo Avenue,Perth at about 4.50pm yesterday afternoon following a report of an injured child.
“The 4-year-old boy is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh.”
She added: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances at this time, enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are communicating closely with the family.”
