A Perthshire nurse is to face the industry watchdog after being accused of lifting a vulnerable patient from his wheelchair by the neck.
Adrian Sanders could be struck off when he appears before the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) next week.
He faces a string of charges related to his employment as staff nurse at the Balhousie Coupar Angus care home in 2013.
It is alleged that around October 20 of that year he inappropriately moved a man, known as patient A, from his wheelchair to a bed by his neck.
On the same date he is alleged to have inappropriately restrained the same patient by putting his arms around him and holding his wrists.
A further charge accuses Sanders of repeatedly moving a woman, identified as patient C, in an inappropriate manner on October 22, and of grabbing a third patient’s shoulder on October 21.
It is further alleged that whilst employed as a staff nurse at Rosemount Care Home, Blairgowrie, Sanders made a number of sexualised comments to a patient.
Sanders will face the NMC at a four-day hearing in Edinburgh from Monday.
