Police have seized numerous cannabis plants in an early-morning raid on a Muthill cottage.
Intelligence gathered by police pointed to suspicious activity.
The Courier was invited along to this morning’s operation as officers descended on the house to apprehend the suspect.
With no-one home, officers used a hydraulic battering ram to smash their way into the cottage.
On entering the property they were immediately hit by the smell of growing cannabis and discovered the plants being cultivated in a room at the rear of the house.
Officers carried out the raid as part of Operation Slate, an ongoing intelligence-led initiative to target drug-related crime across the region.
