World-Renowned chef Albert Roux has been unveiled as the keynote speaker at a major industry event taking place at Perth Concert Hall on March 5.
The Going Places with Scotland’s Food and Drink Industry Conference will bring together experts from across the country.
Three-Michelin-star-chef Roux hopes to inspire them to make the most of events happening over the next 12 months.
All eyes will be on Scotland this year, with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in Perthshire and the second year of Homecoming.
Those in the food and drink industry are being urged to get involved and capitalise on new business opportunities as part of efforts to achieve a £16.5 billion market growth by 2017.
Richard Lochhead, Scottish Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, will join Roux in Perth.
He said: “Scotland’s deserved reputation as a land of food and drink is a result of the fantastic variety of high quality products we have to offer something which Albert Roux, one of the world’s top chefs, has spoken of many times.”
