A bungling salesman has been jailed for five years after he was caught on CCTV buying gloves he wore during an armed raid.
Bruce Roseweir was also seen on camera filling up his company car just a few hundred yards from the crime scene on Perth’s Oakbank Road.
The High Court in Glasgow heard how the 36-year-old pulled out a knife after entering the Co-Op store at around 9.25pm on Sunday, October 26, last year.
He then told employee Wendy Carcary to empty the till.
Roseweir admitted robbing the store and taking £410.
Sentencing, judge Lord Bannatyne said: “This was a serious and nasty offence involving the presentation of a knife.”
