A 63-year-old man has appeared in court accused of trying to extort cash and sexual favours by threatening to expose a couple’s lifestyle.
Alan Hurren is alleged to have tried to blackmail a woman into having sex with him and tried to force the couple to hand over £4,000.
Hurren, of Jenkinson Drive, Redding, appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court on a petition alleging he attempted to extort money and sexual favours from two named individuals.
It is alleged that on various occasions between November 21 and December 1 in Falkirk and Auchterarder he intended to menace the couple.
