Body found in Crieff on New Year’s Day identified as missing care home resident

Police have formally identified a body found in Crieff on New Year’s Day as being 84-year-old Euphemia Clark.
Mrs Clark had been reported missing from the town’s Dalnaglar Care Home at around 6.15am on Hogmanay.
The last sighting of the elderly woman was around 10.30am in the Coldwells Road area.
A search helicopter was launched over St Mary’s Walk, which runs alongside the River Earn, and it also flew over Laggan Hill in a bid to trace Mrs Clark.
Police confirmed that a body had been found in Crieff on New Year’s Day and a spokesperson has now confirmed it has now been formally identified as being the missing pensioner.
