Both incidents took place last Tuesday. In one, 150 bales of straw were found ablaze at a farm in Spittalfield. In the other incident, a caravan was found on fire at a quarry in Dunkeld. As a result of the farm fire, the A984 road was closed for several hours. It’s understood the farm concerned lost around £2,000 worth of straw. Police Scotland said a 19-year-old man had been charged in connection with the incidents and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
