A hospital porter sexually assaulted an 84-year-old woman as he wheeled her for an X-ray at Perth Royal Infirmary.
Albert Baker attacked the pensioner in October while she was preparing for a hip replacement operation at the hospital, Perth Sheriff Court was told.
The 67-year-old, of Brands Brae, Perth, also twice sexually assaulted the same woman as he visited her on separate occasions at her home.
Baker pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his victim while wheeling her on a trolley on or about October 2.
He also admitted sexually assaulting the same woman at an address in Perth on two occasions between June 2013 and November 2014.
He has now been added to the sex offenders register ahead of sentencing in April.
Depute fiscal Stuart Richardson said the woman, who “did not keep particularly good health”, was an in-patient at Perth Royal awaiting an operation on her hip.
The court heard Baker touched the woman’s breasts on top of her clothing during the visits.
He said Baker was given the task of wheeling the woman on a trolley to the X-ray department, adding “as he wheeled her he again touched her breasts on top of her clothing”.
The court was told Baker had now been medically assessed by a doctor at psychiatric hospital Murray Royal.
Sheriff Christopher Shead deferred sentence on Baker until next month for the medical report and for a community justice social work report.
A spokesman for NHS Tayside said: “This person is no longer employed by NHS Tayside.”
