Teen accused of lashing out at police officers in Perth

A teenage girl is to stand trial accused of kicking out at two police officers.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared from custody at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The girl is alleged to have acted in a disorderly manner by shouting, swearing and making abusive comments on Perth’s Rannoch Road on December 29.

She is further accused of resisting Constables Gavin Burns and James Milne by struggling violently with them and lashing out with her arms and legs, striking the officers on the body.

A trial was set for March 23, with an intermediate diet set to take place on March 3.
